The Knowledge, Art & Networking or KAN Festival is a gathering of development and art enthusiasts held every 3rd week of January in Tanzania. It is an ideal space at Usa River, Arusha Town, where development practitioners, artists and the regional community meet. To collectively explore practical ways of understanding and appreciating each others’ role in deepening their contribution to development in its various manifestations.

KAN Festival 2020 will feature live music, art exhibition, storytelling, debates, poetry/the power of spoken word, workshops and film screening with lively sessions of networking. Also drumming and art classes, and Swahili cuisine.

Add to My Calendar 2020-01-22 00:00:00 2020-01-25 23:59:59 EAT Gather Event Theme The greatest value addition of KAN to the ongoing development prospects will be the forum it becomes for facilitation of practitioners from all walks of life, age and sectors of work, bringing them together for sharing of ideas and drawing from one another lived experience. At KAN, development practitioners get an opportunity to inspire and be inspired, challenge one another and, in particular, take stock of what has transpired over the past period in their work with the intent of ‘connecting the proverbial dots’ to suggest what path may be best, going forward.
